  BioCert® Authenticator Toolkit - $199.95
Add Biometric Fingerprint Identification to your Existing Application

This "Corporate Distribution License" is for internal company use only and not to be distributed with bundled, packaged or retail software.  For ISV's we have an ISV Program

Introducing - BioCert® Authenticator Toolkit Professional

When using Biometrics, two methods are generally used.

The Verification method is referred as “One to One” (1:1). This method consist of stating a first identification token (User ID, Smart card…) and verifying if the person is who he claims to be.

The Identification method is known as the “One to Many” (1:M) or (1:n). This technique consist in comparing the biometric template against a set of stored templates and find the identical match. With the increasing reliability and performance, the One to many method has become a preferred technique where user identification requires only a simple touch.

The BioCert® Authenticator Toolkit is a Client/Server application and toolkit that performs 1:M identification. It has been designed to help programmers easily integrate Biometrics directly within their application using simple ActiveX control technology.

The BioCert® Authenticator Toolkit is fully compatible with the following programming languages and environments:

  • Microsoft Visual Basic (6.0 or greater) including MSVB.net .asp
  • C++ Microsoft
  • Fox Pro
  • Visual Basic for Programs – Active X
  • Microsoft Office
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Microsoft Access
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer via .asp
  • Delphi
  • INFORMIX

Additionally, the BioCert® Authenticator Toolkit is the ONLY toolkit on the market to support multiple devices on a single PC.

The BioCert® Authenticator Toolkit comes in four distinct versions

The biometric template is established on the server during the enrollment phase where a user is registered into the database. Once registered, every time a user presents their fingerprint for authentication, the core engine of the BioCert toolkits compares the minutiae points presented vs. the registered template. A match between the template and the presented fingerprint is immediately registered as being “authenticated”. This process is accurate to a degree of 0.00001% thus making biometric authentication one of the most accurate positive identification methods in existence today.

The BioCert core engine is capable of immediately (10,000 per second) identifying up to 20,000 users using a stand alone BioCert Hamster optical fingerprint scanner or a scanner incorporated within a BioCert Optimouse.

Enrollment is easy and can be accomplished with a simple tool included with the BioCert® Authenticator Toolkit

Software Overview:

The BioCert® Authenticator Toolkit is a self-contained scanning and matching program with class libraries and Active-X controls for Microsoft® Access, Microsoft® FoxPro and Microsoft® Visual Basic programming languages. The BioCert® Authenticator Toolkit makes it easy for you to cost effectively add the security of biometric authentication with the functionality of fingerprint matching to your Visual Basic, FoxPro or Microsoft® Access applications.

The BioCert® Authenticator Toolkit includes all of the necessary files to support 1:1 (Verification) and 1:many (Identification) biometric authentication with little or no additional programming.

BioCert® Authenticator Client/Server

The BioCert® Authenticator toolkit is a Client/Server application that has a single purpose, Identify a user and return a basic credential to be used in any ActiveX compliant applications.

The FREEWARE version has all the functionalities than the Pro but with a only limitation of 10 finger templates. The Server portion is base on a OLE database connection.

The default installation includes a MS Access database to start with. MS SQL and other database engine can be supported but have not yet been tested. Installing the BioCert® Authenticator should be done on a centralized computer.

The FREEWARE Version uses a simple search pattern. Fingerprint identification is done by comparing templates starting with the first stored in the database. This will explain why the first enrollee will always have an instantaneous identification while the last one in might be in seconds.

Note: Please notice that when enrolling two fingers per user, will account for two fingerprints, if planning to enroll 100 people with their 10 fingers, you will have a potential of 1000 fingerprints !!! For enhanced Identification performance, you may later upgrade to the Enterprise version using the same User database.
